Question


I have download the driver rpm under Linux and I've got these troubles :

unresolved symbol memset, memcpy and __vmalloc

this is the screen I got

[root@localhost sbin]# ./sm56setup 33
Motorola SM56 SoftModem Setup for Linux
Building driver...
/usr/local/sm56/sm56.o -> /lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/sm56
Creating device /dev/sm56...
Pointing /dev/modem to /dev/sm56...
Adding SM56 to /etc/modules.conf...
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/sm56
SM56 setup complete.
[root@localhost sbin]# insmod sm56 country=33
Using /lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/sm56
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/sm56: unresolved symbol memset
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/sm56: unresolved symbol memcpy
/lib/modules/2.2.17-21mdk/misc/sm56: unresolved symbol __vmalloc
