What about freeBSD?(let the flames begin)
Alot of us switched to linux because we heard good things about it and to get away form windows. So far it has worked out pretty well.
But what bout freeBSD? I have heard some good thing about it and I beleive the new Mac OS X is based on it(probably because the licensing is softer so its easier to charge for).
I hate to be kept in an OS cage. Has anyone tried it? I think I will install that and then let you guys know how it went.
This is not a knock against linux, just a matter of getting the whole story so we can all run the best(relative) OS in town
Let me know what you guys think about this point before I go get it and install it
