I just upgraded to the 2.4.3 kernel from my old 2.2.14 kernel. When I upgraded PPPoE is not working. I have compiled the support into the kernel, and currently am using the Roaring Penguin program. It worked fine under 2.2.14, even the most recent version(3.0) I think it is. When I upgraded to 2.4.3 I also upgraded pppd to the newest, as well as all of my tcpip packages(I'm running slackware 7.1 by the way). All I see in my logs is a constant flood of the pppd daemon starting, then pppoe then pppoe dying then the pppd daemon dying. This repeats probably 200 or more times before timing out. Any suggestions?
