Angry

Hey my fellow Linux people....

I recently decided to put RedHat 7.1 onto a machine i have (886mhz,256 sdram, ATI all in wonder Radeon AGP, SBLive Platinm 5.1, Sony Trinitron Multiscan15sf momitor)

Everything went alright.... there were default drivers for everything.... however now when i startx my monitor turns off or goes into energy saving mode.... I have no idea what this is ....

When i ctrl-alt-backspace it just says that xscreensaver couldn ot load but no matter.... and that the process was ended by my ctrl-alt-backspace...

Could somebody help me out.... If more info is need tell me and i will provide it.

Thnx

Angry a little update

i have tried all of the setter uppers.....

and gone in manually do see if settings are good...

however as a little bit of more info ... since my AIW is attached to a TV i get the default gray background to come up on the tv when the monitor turns off...it is like it is defaulting to there or something but i can't use it even though the grey background may be x on the screen...

when looking at the kill squence everything looks normal.... i think....

XF86Config.... or XF86Config-4 ?

i have tried editing both ... but neither did anything ... i jsut want to know so i don't have to do any future double editing
