Question Linux for Astronomy

I'm about to order and install Mandrake PowerPack v8 onto a second 20 Gb hard drive and learn to use it. I also need to use Linux for Astronomy in my astrophysics classes.

Does anyone know if Linux for Astronomy will run on Mandrake PowerPack v8? Are there other considerations?

Has anyone done Linux for Astro on Mandrake yet?

Thanks much!

Suzanne

if it runs on one linux distro, it will run on all. just on their website, looks like it installs with kpackage, or gnorpm, you should have no problems.
