Post Need an Assembler

Ok, i recently installed TinyLinux (http://tiny.seul.org/). It doesnt come with any compilers or assemblers. I know i should buy a normal distrobution, but i have neither the money or an up to date computer to get one. So i downloaded nasm, and apparently it doesnt run on my system. When i run it, i get...

Segmentation fault.

I went to their site and its a known error with no fix. So i downloaded gas, but its just the source, and i cant compile it because i have nothing to do it with. So i was gonna go and download gcc, but all they offered was the source (or at least thats all i found), and i cant compile the compiler, because i have no compiler!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!! What a predicament. So my question is, is there some place i can downloaded a compiled copy of any assembler?

I recommend a normal distro. If you want a challange, get slackware.
