Unhappy

ok, i've checked around and i KNOW that i have a lucent win modem, cuz i ran lspci -v, and it said communications : lucent and then a bunch of crap addresses...i tried running the ltmodem.o thingie, as a module, and i dunno what happens, but i think that ./build_module compiles correctly, but when i do ./ltinst, i don't have the file /etc/modules.conf which is necessary, and a bunch of other things that basically won't me make it into a module, thereby not letting connect with kppp, my kernel version is 2.2.5-15, i dunno if i should get a different driver, or something, ir eally don't know, could some please please please help me...

thanks
