Printing to windows shared print from Android device

I would like the ability to print to a windows shared printer without installing any extra software on the windows machine.
I found one app that can https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...tershare&hl=en
but come to find out you need to pay $13 to make it work after the fact.

IMO that is overpriced + it ticked me off that it wasn't clearly disclosed that it needed to be paid for.

Is there a free or atleast lower cost solution that would allow my android tablet to print to a windows printer?

Is Google Cloud Print an option for you? https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...pps.cloudprint

Thanks but I don't think this is practical.
I really don't want to install any software on the printer host

Not being willing to pay and not wanting to install anything on the printer host is really going to limit your options. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ruce.lpd&hl=en claims to have "a detailed free-ware work around for all types of printers (including USB connected) is provided in the help files" but it's not an app I've ever used, so I cannot attest to the veracity of that statement.

It did not work. It would keep giving me java errors
But I found an app called printbot
It works but only with images (unfortunately)
It it costs a lot less though so I am considering buying it
