The Archos 101 is a good products for the price. .. Archo has been actively releasing updates to fix and add functionality to the device. It is however an Android 2.2 device, and will not officially get a Android 3.0 upgrade. With the ASUS Transformer being $399 (Just $100 more then Archos 101) you have to ask yourself if its worth it. Its a single core 1Ghz tablet with only 256MB of RAM. Unlike the newer dual-core 1Ghz tablets that all have 1GB
of RAM. I was hoping the price would come down.. I think $249 would make it an exceptional deal.... The viewing angles on the 10.1 inch screen are not the greatest, but not horrible either. It does have full USB ports, and HMDI.. etc..

Here is there reviews from my website on the Archos 101, some updates have been released since then..

Sorry to be so late, but who told you the 10.1 won't get Honeycombe?

Archos is announcing their Gen9 tablets next weeks. These will be their Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) tablet, and feature dual-core processors etc. The Archos 101 was released last year, and only has 256MB of RAM. As such, will likely not see an OFFICIAL upgrade. These already is ROM's brewing from the development community, but you can pretty much be certain Archos will not offer an update, with their new line of tablets coming out.

I see. I think you may be right. We'll see what will happen, I've asked Archos via their support chain if/when Android 3 will come to the 10.1, but so far haven't got a reply... (not that I'm expecting any... :-\)
