    which platform best for starting development of android apps?

    Hello,

    i am starting development of android apps.but i am getting confusion that which is best platform (windows or linux)to develop the apps?could experienced guys please suggest me.Thanks in advance.

    I think Android is best to develop apps, also the Android is OS trend in the furture. Windows now no update and fewer people use it.

    I am comfortable with .net development and therefore am using Xamarin in Visual Studio.

    Anyone using Slackware & Android Studio? I'd like to dedicate a separate HHD just for Developing on a Slackware box but can't find any tutorials for such a setup. What file system is best for developing? ext4?
