    Installing OSes on Tablets

    Hi,

I have recently learned it is illegal to change the OS aka "root" smartphones due to user agreements and/or contracts. Does this rule apply to tablets?

If you bought the tablet with a 3G/4G connection from a cell phone Co., then yes. If you bought it as Wifi only device, then probably not.

From reading ive done regarding rooting phoned and the likes because it may fail leaving things in a mess. If loss of warranty is the major problem don't risk the rooting. There a some stuff that's available that will give you the abilities you require, without the need for the rooting.

The tablet's now junk, and I'll probably do something crazy with it eventually. Did you post to this 4 years after the fact, or is there a glitch that says you did?
