I've been using Android phone and tablet for about 6-7yrs. now, I switched from Nokia Symbian, which I still love the system so much, and then a Motorola Linux phone, and then HTC Desire, everything so far so good until 4.4, Android limited writing to external storage and connect as mass storage to the PC. I understand this is a security enhancement a good thing to have, but up to these days I am still struggling with it. On and off I couldn't write to the external drive, some times I got no prompt for permission to write at all, and most of the 3rd party apps are unable to handle that and simply bypass the operation without warning. Simple task like renaming files may or may not be possible to do it on the phone, I always have to use a card reader with the PC this is extremely annoying !
