HTC One X extra storage issue

    Howdy all

First post on this site as only just recently moved into the Android world

Loving the phone so far (only day 2) and have installed Dice Player so I can also watch my mkv files on the phone. At first it was an instant success as the clips played
and there was sound and all was right with the world

Then I though, how about we throw a movie on and see how that goes. Chose a random movie approximately 7.0GB in size and after a few minutes I get a message to
say it is not working. So I make sure it is going to the right area, which has 26GB free space, only to find that the "drive" is formatted as vfat

So my question is, does anyone know if android can read other formats and is there any big issue with formatting it to something like NTFS or even an ext[234]?

I have done a quick search but it does not seem to be an issue that has been raised all that often, maybe as this is a newish format and such large files not generally
    contemplated for phones.

    Look forward to the replies
