If you're using Redhat Linux, use linuxconfig. From the command line as user root, type "linuxconfig". Select "control", "Control Panel", and "Control Service Activity". Select httpd for apache and smb for Samba and press SPACE to put an X in the start on boot box. Save changes as you exit.

If you are running another Linux version, you need to use their appropriate tools or short of adding links to the startup files for startup and shutdown services. These are in /etc/rc.d/rc{runlevel}.d for Redhat but may be somewhat different in other versions.
