I have a 17gb hard disk.The partitions are as follows:-
1> /dev/hda1 < primary > ==> 2 GB ==> Primary Dos Partition.
2> /dev/hda2 < primary > which contains:-
a> /dev/hda5 ==> 4.0 GB ==> '/' partition.
b> /dev/hda6 ==> 3.5 GB ==> '/usr/local/' partition.
c> /dev/hda7 ==> 1.0 GB ==> 'Swap' Partition.
3> /dev/hda3 < primary > ==> 6 GB ==> Win 95 Partition.
Problem:-
suddenly some days ago the swap partition went for a toss.The m/c while booting said 'error enabling swap space ,cannot read /dev/hda7'.Then i tried reading partition table using 'fdisk /dev/hda'.It said error reading some sector no.,cannot read /dev/hda ,device busy.
I tried installing linux 6.2 again.It says error reading /dev/hda.And just exits installation.
Is there any way i can get rid of this without deleting my /dev/hda1(dos primary partition) as it contains very important data.If there is any way please let me know as soon as possible.
I'm in very urgent need of this.
Thanking You.
