Thanks for input guys.Found linux for sale and a free cd but comes with pages and pages of survey answers and who knows what else. One hour of research and a big nothing.Mabey I can find it in a computer store or somewhere. It sucks everyone says its free .Maby its buried somewhere on some obscure site requiring 2 or 3 hours wading through bullshit that has lots of stuff for sale and sayig they have free linux to draw people in.Thanks again for trying.
I spent a week formatting windows, and spent two days looking for linux and downloading the first CD of mandrake. I tried it, and like it so much I formatted the whole system, downloaded the remaining two disks, and installed my system again.
Latrucino, you, sir, are a n00b, are is trying to flame this place because you are not able to find the download button...
Latrucino - Linux is completely free (apart from the cost of download, the cost a blank cds and your time to do the burning). Most members here have never paid for a distro. If you can only find distros that require you to pay money, well, you are not looking hard enough.
In it's current incarnation, Red Hat needs to be paid for. Try Fedora, it's available at no cost and is the test bed for Red Hat - this means that it is always up to date and bleeding edge.
Alternatively, find a different distro - there are more than a hundred individual distros out there.
you're behaviour is disgusting, if you are going to talk like that, we have no time for you either.
As Xavier Said, RH is not free it has a 30 day trial, if you bothered to look at the site you should know this, RH is outdated anyways, they have moved onto fedora
Thanks jacook, finally got somewhere with your link.Sorry about my ranting. So much spam and deception on the net and so hard to get anywhere without hours of searching.I should have cooled down before venting.I will edit or delete those posts if I can.Looks like I gotta get a cd burner and some more memory so its gonna cost anyway. Thanks .
