Desktop folders won't open

Hi if you read my other post you will have noticed that i have been installing quite a bit. Well somthing broke.

Desktop folders, Trash bin etc just won't open from the desktop. At the taskbar you see Konqueror flash for a moment then disapear and that's it. If I want to access those folders I have to click on the home Icon in the taskbar and access them through Konqueror that way.

Any ideas for a fix? other than being high on linux
