AOL Instant Messanger File Transfer through IP-MASQ

I'm running a RedHat 7.0 box as a router for my home cable modem. I'm having some trouble getting AIM File Tranfers to work through the gateway. Is it a matter of port forwarding to get AIM File Transfers to work? I know I've had to do similar things to get ICQ file transfers to work, but I'm not sure how to implement something similar using AIM.

Thanks,
Mat

I suggest you email AOL and ask them, they should be happy to give you the ports that need to be opened.

Please post them here when you get them.

AIM.....

Hey there, yeah im bascily working on the same issue. Today I sat down and decided to learn how things somewhat work when it comes to ipchains/ipmasqadm, I still know very little, but managed to get icq chats/file transfers to work. I still have no idea what ports AIM usess defaultly for file transfers, and have emailed aol a few times, they dont want to tell me what they are for 'security reasons' ive even called up once. They say all 'all you need to do is go into aim preferences and file transfers and set it to an open port' but yet ive tried this and it doesent help. Way to go AOL, if anyone has any information about making aim transfers/direct connecting work over ipmasq, please lemme know. Thanks.
