What is /usr /temp /opt etc...
I saw them in other people system.
Should I get them as partition or as directory?
If I should get them in directory,
which partition should I create the directory in?

All the directories you mentioned don't normally reside on their own partitions, just within your root partition. Have a read of http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ghlight=%2Fusr to know more about /usr. /tmp (its not normally /temp) is just a directory that is writable by everyone so can be used as tempory storage for any programs and /opt seems to a directory that I've seen more commercials Unix (particularly Solaris) setups, and seems to be the location where lots of application software gets installed - although I've seen it get used a lot on systems with KDE as AFAIK it's KDE's default install dir...

does it means, if a software is to be installed. it will goes to the /usr?
or just some system files will get there where else other files of the software will goes to the specific directory i point to? eg. /irc/bitchx

Lots of software installs to /usr/local but you can install it anywhere, and different programs will have their own default install locations. When programs do install to their own location, and that location isn't in your path then you often use a symlink to make the program appear in a more 'usual' place. For example say your program install to /someDir/someProgram/bin/someBinary then to make this available to everyone you might want to do a or add /someDir/someProgram/bin to your path.
