I bought Redhat 5.2 full version as my first Distro, I have borrowed from friends and bought just burned CD's after that. With a burner and cable I now download the ISO images
Distribution: Redhat v8.0 (soon to be Fedora? or maybe I will just go back to Slackware)

I have bought several versions of Redhat and used to have a Slackware subscription... but I got Redhat v7.0 when I went for my RHCE exam and I downloaded v7.1 and have the ISO's mounted for FTP installs.
I never bought it... It takes too much time to get out of my house, go to a computer store, look for redhat, checkout, get back into my car, come home turn on the computer and wait for 2 minutes...
I actually went to a couple of stores thinking they would have it, no luck. Then I called around and still no luck. I did not want to wait so I downloaded it from redhat.
Bought Caldera version of Linux from Staples, Downloaded Redhat 7.0 with a 56k and its extra CD's (Lots of time spare back then) Downloaded Redhat 7.1 and Slackware 8 with New Cable modem.
Purchased Corel (free after rebate), won't run properly on my old machine.
Purchased Caldera 1.3 with book, won't run properly on my old machine.
Downloaded Slackware 8.0, minimal install (package a1). I now have an OS that works but need to learn how to use it. It's great to start using the console first before loading a GUI (kde). Definitely learn a lot by going down this road.
