couldn't attach tty to PPP unit 0: Invalid argument

I have an ltmodem(linux win modem. lucent chip set)
and I have pppd configured to where it dials, and makes the noise of connecting. but as soon as it's done, it hangs up.

plog states that it does connect, then says

couldn't attach tty to PPP unit 0: Invalid argument

and hangs up. what do I need to do to correct this¿

Hey grim, u using the newest ppp? Mine used to shutoff just after connecting for me too, and its because i didnt have it updated.

yea, it was because I didn't have an updated ppp daemon. i had to d/l a test version. cause the highes in stable wasn't high enough.

shit like this makes me want to get high. g-zus.
