I have a crashed Gateway PC with a 3dx video card in it. Rather than just let it sit idle I was thinking of sticking it in my Linux box. I am running Mandrake 7.2 and KDE. I was wondering if linux would run a dual monitor configuration like windows 2000. Anyone have any clue?

I have heard of it working, actually I once read an article about one guy who got it so he could see all 4 of his virtual screens in X on 4 different monitors. Its been so long, a little research and you should be able to find it somewhere. Just wanted to let you know that I know it is possible though.
