Personal firewall?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a personal firewall for Linux similar to AtGuard?
Basically I'd like something that informs me what app is trying to use the network and rules to permmit/block based on app and port. Last requirement would be to inform me about inbount connection-attempts.

Thanks in advance and regards,
cashman

There are several Firewall tools for Linux. The newest firewalling software is Netfilter/iptables which can be found at netfilter.filewatcher.org. You can also read the firewall how-to at www.linuxdoc.com, just do a search for "firewall" on that sight for all how-to's dealing with firewalls.
