freeing up swap space on my linux system
Hi ,
I am facing a problem which is screwing up my linux system.
I have redhat 6.0 running on my machine.
(My other machine has linux mandrake 7.0)
My swap partition is full.
I cannot run X on my machine and cannot do any thing which requires access to the swap space.
I height of this was when i was not even able to view man pages ( since they need to be unzipped ) . The system says
' not enough swap space'.
I tried running fsck on the swap partition but it too terminated giving error code which stands for 'reboot the machine'
My friends say that reinstalling linux is the only option.
Is it true or is there any utiliy that will be able to help me?
