Partitions,Mounting Dos, Sound
My System:
Pentium II
SVGA Monitor
ATI XPert 128
SoundBlaster 128 PCI
I have two hard drives,
8 gig ->Dos
4 gig ->Linux
Question 1:
I had RedHat 5.1 and I installed using Custom and this partition worked:
/ 1024MB
/swap/ 128MB
/home (remaining amount)
Now I have RedHat 6.2 and that partitioning doesn't work, I had an error that there isn't enough room on the / partition. If I choose Gnome system then Disk Druid will automatically create the proper partitioning, but I want to Custom the installation.
For a 4gig HD what would be the proper partitioning?
Question 2
I can manually mount my dos drive each time, but I know there is a way to edit a certain file and have linux mount it automatically each time linux is booted. I had it installed once allready, but I had to reinstall linux and lost that information.
Question 3
Also, I used sndconfing and I heard the voice, but I cannot play midis.
