Question login without X GUI

Hello

Can someone tell me how I can set my Redhat config so that when it boots up its doesnt go straight to X GUI login automatically? I would like a shell login and then be able to type "startx" if I ever wish to do so. I dont know how to set this.

thanks

mkhan

I believe that all you have to do is edit the /etc/inittab file. Change this line from id:5:initdefault to id:3:initdefault and that should do it.
