I'm trying to install Redhat 5.2 but I keep getting this error at different times during the install but so far haven't got past disk druid.
Kernel Panic : VFS : Unable to mount root fs on 08:22 "
Here's a run down of my system:
P120mhz
32mb ram
1st HDD has two partitions containing win 95 and the other has data
2nd HDD has two partitions one contains data the other (1.72GB) is where I want to put linux
I'm running autoboot.bat in msdos not a dos window within windows.
The error comes up at different times sometimes when I'm selecting the language, sometimes the keyboard type, sometimes at the install type menu. Often it happens in disk druid and it doesn't give me a chance to create any partitions. All I'll do is press a key and then it comes up, then I have to restart the computer
Are you always recieving the exact same error?
Have you ever experienced trouble with your cd-rom (drive) before?
