Two questions (hopfully answered easily):

1. How can I enforce a delay when people get thier passwords wrong, before another attempt. (Yes this is an attempt to stop password hacking programs)

2. This one may surprise some people. I have found that if your password is 20 characters long you only need to type the first 8 to get in. Is there somewhere to change this so that the FULL password is required?

Thx in advance.

If you are using crypt() for password encryption then you are limited to the first 8 characters of a password. During the install you should have seen an option to use MD5 for password encryption. This will allow you to use passwords longer than 8 characters. You should be able to use authconfig to change to MD5 if you didn't choose it at install.
