Why does the font in Netscape look so bad? I can hardly read it. How can I make more like IE fonts?

I am trying to learn Linux at age 47 so you youngsters need to be understanding.

Help a poor old blind man!

you can download mozilla, which is sorta like IE, or you can go to Edit > Pref. and make the font bigger or change the font all together. It works....

The default fonts are quite ugly!

I'd consider adding TrueType font support to your machine. Linuxnewbie.org had a pretty good tutorial page on doing this.

I'm using xfstt to make all my Window TrueType fonts available under X, seems to work great. All my pages render the same under X as Windows

Have a look on tucows for it, thats where I linked it from.

Cheers
