MP3 Player

I use Kmp3 but that is because it is the only one I can get to play Mp3 files in Mandrake 7.0 Xmms, and kmpg (which both use mpg123 as the decoder) just make noise. However Kmp3 uses a plugin named plugmp3.so to decode MP3's and works great. Now how do I make this MP3 player the default for opening instead of having to right click and select every darn time????
