I'm porting some software made up of several packages from RH 6.2 to RH 7.1. Among the problems I am having is that after the Makefiles "install" the man files to the appropriate directories, the files become *.man.gz files instead of *.man files.
Then when the .spec file gets to the files section, it fails because it is looking for files named *.man and not *.man.gz.
This seems to be related to the brp-compress command which I don't understand.
A prime example of this is compiling packages such as perl-Digest-MD5 and perl-libwww. These packages create the file list during build time which makes it hard to just change the file list to *.man.gz in the spec file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
