Unable to access to a website on apache web server

Hi all,
I have a web site installed on Apache and mySQL data base running on Redhat 7.X.
I can browse the web site without any problem from the local web server where the site installed.
However, I cannot browse the site from a remote client either by using the web site IP address or its FQDN. Yet I can ping back and forward between the web server and the client no problem.

The FQDN is resolved properly when I try to ping by name.

The web server and the client has a direct connection without any proxy or firewall in the way.

I'm quite new to Linux so I don't know what else to do when I already tried all the basic trouble shooting techniques.

Is there anything I need to modify on the Apache web serve or on the remote browser to make it work.

Please help

Thank you very much in advance

Bisbane

yep, sounds to me you don't have it properly configured in the httpd.conf file. also what type of site is it? are you suppose to be able to browse it from the web as well, or only intranet type local network?

It's just an online store like amazon.com kind of site. It's used for testing only, and it does not allow access from the Internet.

So what do I need to change in the httpd.conf to make it work. Let me know if you need to know the detail configuration.
If you need to look at the httpd.conf please give me your email address I email it to you.

Thanks a lot for your response, Trickyid

you can email me with the email address button below, and you might want to post it here as well, someone else could help out as well.

but most likely its something to do with the configuration for resolving the host i would presume so far.

the easiest way is to set it up with a IP address, cuase if you wanted like to use it like you would on the net with a domain name like with www.whatever.com, you would have to setup your own dns server i would presume.
