Is it at all possible, to use a winmodem? Has it ever been
done? Documented? Can setserial be used with some chance of
success? I need to purchase more RAM before I get into any
external or Hayes modem$$. I'd like to give it a whirl. Can
anyone help me with commands, arguments, options?

Yeah, check out http://www.linmodems.org for list they have with modems that people have gotten to work. There are some winmodems out there that can work.

Talking

I have a Zoltix and it is supported with kernel 2.2.16.
Apparently I need to get the binary driver and two modules
to get it usable. This should be a challenge for farmer
greg. I am quite sure "I'll be back" for help. Thanx
