To get to the floppy you first need to mount it. If you post what desktop / windowing manager you are using (KDE/Gnome/etc...) then I'm sure that someone can tell you the nice graphical utility to use. In the mean time try something like this from a terminal

mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
this should mount your floppy under /mnt/floppy. You can now just save your documents to /mnt/floppy and they'll be written to the disk. Just remember to run

unmount /mnt/floppy
before you eject the disk!! Otherwise you might loose some data.
If for some reason this doesn't work post the error in this thread.
