Short write

What's this??

During an rcp from a Digital machine under True Unix to a LINUX box I recieve the message "Short Write" after about 2 Gb. The rcp is initiated from the Digital. Initiating it from the LINUX-box makes no difference.
So far, so good. But an ftp session goes well.

Does anybody know what's the cause of this????

Thnx for any help.....

What kernel are you using? The 2.2.x series kernel had a 2GB file size limit.

kernel

Hello,

Kernel is 2.4. I am aware of the early 2Gb filesize, but what strikes me is that ftp can make a file larger than 2 Gb (the file is 5Gb) but rcp can not....

I just don't get it.....
