Exclamation

i formatted some harddirves as fat32 so i could have them each set up as single drives(all over 500 mb)simply so that i could scandisk them. now after i removed the partions, linux can only get a 500 mb partion on them(F*CK)

does anyone know how to completey remove a fat32 partition
(help me god, if i have to put windows on them i will kill myself)

Can you not just use fdisk in Linux to delete the partitions and then 'grow' some ext2 space into the space left behind?

if you can't really figure out how the fdisk works try cfdisk - but it doesn't hav the ability to 'grow'

I don't think that fdisk can 'grow' filesystems but that there are other programs which can expand into free space created by deleating partitions.

Lightbulb lOOK!

i found this thing called "partition magic" for windows 9.x that can shrink fat16 and fat 32 partitions and make ext2 partitions. first, i used a hd with windows 95 on it and put it in my system, i used fdisk and "removed" the fat 32 partitions from the other two hd's, installed partiton magic, and it was able to use the maximum space for ext2 partitions on those hd's.

GET PARTITION MAGIC. IT WILL COME IN USEFUL IF THE LINUX DISKUTILS CAN'T FORMAT/PARTITION A FAT 32 DISK.

poof!And it's gone!

The DISK DRUID will destroy any and every partition with a single keystroke.
