Do you have the QT development package installed? Some KDE programs also require you to set the KDEDIR environment variable.

Question

...And how do you check for it?
I have all the stuff I need installed - I used full installation on Mandrake7.2
But I always get this error when trying to ./configure KXICQ for example.
but some apps dont bring up this error and compile
???

Dimavo,
the full install does'nt put every thing on.
if you can determine what you need you could rpm them.
i know some of the devel's are not installed automatically even when doing the full install in Mandrake 7.2

Yeah OK
Now I installed all the RPM's including Qt and kdesupport and kdesupport-devel
and I still get this error!
homer, don't you get an error when trying to compile something like apache or kxicq?
or did you reconfigure something?
or maybe you have to log in not as a root ?
or something else I might have not noticed?
if you can, please tell me if there must be more stuff installed to not get this error again, it really pisses me off!!!
Thanks
dimavo
P.S. just reminding what the error was:
"Cannot compile a small KDE application. Please check if you installed KDE header files correctly (or something like that)"

for audiogalaxy you have to create the account.txt and share.txt files. I created mine in the same directory as all the other files the came gz file. I don't know if that is the best location. You need to put your username and password in the account.txt file and the directory you want to use for sharing in the shares.txt file. If you don't have an audiogalaxy login you have to go to the site to get one.
