Exclamation

Hi all,

I have samba installed on my redhat 7 server. Its running sweet, the only problem is my printer config. I have 2 LPT parts in the server and 2 printers plugged in. In then /etc/Printcap file :-

# /etc/printcap
#
# Please don't edit this file directly unless you know what you are doing!
# Be warned that the control-panel printtool requires a very strict format!
# Look at the printcap(5) man page for more info.
#
# This file can be edited with the printtool in the control-panel.
cannon|Cannon Printer
:rw
:sh
:lp=/dev/lp0
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/cannon
:fx=flp

epson|Epson Printer
:rw
:sh
:lp=/dev/lp1
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/epson
:fx=flp

As you can see I have set the printers up RAW printers so that my windows clients can print to them perfectly.
Now This is all working smooth its just that if I look at the server in Network Neighborhood I can see both printers plus another printer with no name, HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS GHOST PRINTER.

This bug is not a problem it's just irritating to see.

Thanks in advance

Have Fun

All you need to do is add browsable = no to the [printers] section of your smb.conf.

Restart samba and it should work ok.
