i have taken the advice from an earlier post, i shut off telnet, and installed openssh. yay! i have ssh configured completely and i think im ready to go. however i still have the same problem from work. the only open ports i can find where i work are 25, 80, 110. i would like my box to be able to accept ssh connections through one of these. could someone give a site or some quick steps to get this done?
thanks for any help!

I'm pretty sure you just have to give a command line option to sshd (sshd -p 80 or something). 'man sshd' ought to tell you. You'd then want to edit the sshd start script (/etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd) and put the appropriate parameter there.

You can use the -p 110 switch or put "Port 110" in the sshd_config file.
