help whit tar.gz


i have download free-1.6.tar.gz i have win. 98 se what should i do to open this file, to intall it ?

You need to open the file under Windows yeah? If thats the case then just use WinZip. Under linux use
Code:
tar xvfz free-1.6.tar.gz

or winrar or winace (not 100% sure on that last one)
