I am wanting to run Seti@Home under Red Hat 7. I realise that this will only work under Unix, which I am presuming is the same thing as running the terminal emulation program off the bottom bar in the Gnome desktop of RH7. Is this right or do I have to go further out.

Basically I have downloaded the Seti@Home file which is a .tar file, opened this to give a setiathome file and a readme file (which doesnt do much for a newbie). Could anybody tell me what I do next.

I have tried running in the terminal emulation windows and no joy, it just says bash: command not found

Any Clues

Thanks

Abe

The seti app is probably not in your path. Because of this you need to preface the command with ./ (so it would be ./setiathome for example).
