Question

Hello World,

I am a novice user and I have installed Red Hat 7 using custom install.

Now I have to make it talk with my Win9x LAN and want to configure RD7 as a File Server on my Win9x LAN.

I have no notion from where to configure the Network Card for TCP/IP configuration and any utilities that make it talk with win9x.

Please assist

In Hope

Best place to be is the Linux HowTo's at http://www.linuxdoc.org and read the ethernet HowTo there.
Then in RedHat, you can do a netconfig or setup at the command to configure your settings for the NIC. Also you can use Linuxconf in X windows to do it while in X windows so you can have the pretty graphical settings display.
