Hi,

After installing Red Hat 7.1 on a HP
server whenever I try to start gnome
or KDE my screen goes to black after
I initially start it up? Does this mean
my video card is not supported? My
video card is on the list of suported
ones.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You will want to try and reconfigure X using Xconfigurator or xf86config. It seems it didn't properly configure it during installation.

Same problem!

Well I just install Red Hat 7.0 and the Xconfigurator couldn't detect my graphic card which is Geforce 2 MX chipset. I even download the latest driver from nvidia.com and do that RPM part. But still failed to probe my graphic card. I am newbie here so please dun give too complicated instructions.
