Question

Hello. I have a problem installing my Linksys 10/100 Ethernet card. I did everything the installation instructions said, but I came across a snag. When it came time to complie the files with the "make" command, I got this error message:

make:*** No rule to make target `/usr/scr/linux/drivers/net/8390.h', needed by 'ne2k-pci.0. Stop.

Can anybody tell me what is going on? Is there any way to fix this? Thank you.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell ya, I'm running Mandrake Linux 7.2

im not in front of my box, so i dont have the exact names of the fields in 'netconf', but what you need to do is go into 'netconf' and select the appropriate eth* card and there should be a field that is labled kernel module or somthing like that. it should be a list box, choose the tulip driver. then reboot or reload the netd(i forget how). so just reboot and that should do it. i hope.
