I installed SuSE recently. I was curious to know why every time I log into KDE, I see this small window called 'Linux Console Log' running? What's this program and how it can be useful to me.
Thanks in advance for any info on this..

it just displays error messages,etc.

if you want to disable that :

cd /usr/lib/*x11/*xdm/xsetup (* = symlinks)

comment out the last 5 lines

it should look like this

# (
# exec......
# ) & echo....
#
# exit 0

save the file and that will disable the console log at startup
