Hey there.

I've been put in charge of learning Linux at work, and unfortunately, the Linux Admin we have is too busy 99% of the time to give me a hand.

I watched him seemlessly boot and get my computer onto the network. I've gone over netconf and every possible #%#^#%#% variation, but I still can't find the bloody way to get Linux to see my eth0 card.

Any pointers on where to start?, I can't even find much on the internet, except for this website.

Blah

Well, I already solved my own problem. Unfortunately the thing that I'm now ranting about is that I get no friggen' help on Linux! Not from you people, but from my co-workers n' friends. I just wish someone would take the 5 seconds to let me know the ismod xxxx comand was essentially the key to binding the driver to eth0. Err, yeah.

The book I bought recently doesn't highlight this either. Talk about frustrating.

I'm going back to Windows! j/k.

Yeah, anyways, I suck at Linux.

Hehe....you make me laugh. Good luck, its a complicated OS but it will soon become second nature if you keep up with it.
