When I telnet to the RedHat 6.2 and login as root user, it will disallowed me. I believed this is a default setting for the server. Can anyone please let me know how can I enable it, so that I can telnet using the root as the user. thanks

allowing root telnet to your box is a recipe for disaster !!
telnet as a user and then su if you need root access.
