setting up sendmail w/ SMC barricade router?? HELP!!

I am using mandrake v8 to start with so I can get a feel for linux. I have Kmail running okay, because I am able to send mail out to my yahoo account. However, I try replying and it bounces back because it never gets to my server.

My setup is as follows:
- SMC Barricade - Static IP via DSP
- Mandrake Linux Machine to be used as web, mail, ftp server (registered users)

I am confused as to what to set the following:

Mail server:
Mail gateway:

Mail server: should this be the name of the computer plus the domain name? For the mail gateway, is that the IP of the mail server computer or the IP for the SMC Barricade or the IP for the gateway through my ISP?

Ultimately, I would like to get pine to work. I tried sending mail out and it gets bounced back because of two error msgs:

1) Host unknown, host not found
2) hash map "alias0" : missing map file /etc/aliases.db: no such file or directory

I hope someone can help me and sorry for the basic questions.. thanks in advance.

BTW - I have 5 web servers going.. and I am able to access all of them, by going to www.xxxx1.com, www.xxxx2.com, etc. These work because the virtual servers were all setup. Thanks again and hope someone can help me configure sendmail.

My next step after this would be to install something like IMP so my users can check email?

Got DNS? --> Then set up an MX record to the fully qualified hostname of your mail server.

Can you please elaborate? Sorry, I am a newbie.. I need step by step instructions! =) I am using zoneedit to do my DNS. As for the entries, is there somewhere else I need to do this?

What is the MX entries? Is this what I access by going to the netconf?

I know I can enter
under Misc tab in the Network configurator, the Information about other hosts. Is this where I define it? How would I do so? Would I enter the IP as :

192.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx and then the name of the computer, then the domain? For example:

compname.domain.com ??

I already have zoneedit pointing to the www.domain.com and that works. I have 5 total domains, with 4 being virtual? Thanks in advance..
