I have recently installed redhat 6.o. I forgot my password.
How would i create a new login name and password.

At the LILO: prompt, type

linux 1

and it will boot in single user mode and give you root access. Then type

passwd

and choose a new password for the root user.

Reboot and you should be able to login as root with your new password.
