I've got a problem w/ my machine that is running
Red Hat Linux 6.2 .. I'm basically unable to start
the X-Windows desktop from the command line environment.
The machine is set to default start in the command line.
Whenever I type 'startx' on the command line, it basically
shuts down and I have to do a Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to
restart it.
Is there a problem w/ the video card or the drivers ??
Here are some of my machine's specs:
-Rack Mounted case
-(1) Pentium III 500mhz
-Seagate Barracude ATA II 7200 rpm 20.4GB Drive
-Jaton Video-107 AGP Card 8MB SDRAM
Should I configure the XConfigurator under
/usr/X11R86/bin ?? .. If so, how should I tweak it ??
